Proof of Enrollment and Degree Verification

University of Idaho has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) to provide both proof of enrollment and degree verifications.

Proof of Current Enrollment

After the beginning of each semester, students may obtain an official enrollment certificate using the Proof of Enrollment link on the left side of their Student Profile. Students are connected to the NSC website where they may choose either a Current enrollment or All enrollment under the Obtain an enrollment certificate option to generate a PDF official enrollment certificate that the student may print to provide to a requestor. These certificates are official and nationally accepted for enrollment verifications.

International students, who do not have a social security number, must make a request directly through the Registrar's Office for proof of enrollment by submitting a Records Release Request form.

University of Idaho Registrar's Office does not monitor a student's anticipated graduation date nor require students to graduate within a specific time, therefore an anticipated graduation date cannot be independently verified and is not included on the enrollment certificate.

Proof of Future Enrollment

Students needing verification of enrollment prior to the beginning of the semester may print a copy of their Advanced Registration certificate to provide to a requestor until the official enrollment verification becomes available after the beginning of the semester. The Advanced Registration certificate may also be accessed from the Proof of Enrollment link on their Student Profile. If an Advanced Registration certificate is not available, the student may print a copy of their schedule from Schedule Planner in the Student Profile menu.

Enrollment Status Calculation

Enrollment status is calculated as follows for each semester including summer. Enrollment status is different than fee calculation status.

Good Student Verification

For most insurance companies, students can provide an unofficial transcript or grade report to demonstrate the GPA required; no forms or signatures are needed. Any different needs should be directed to the Registrar's Office for review; a signed release may be required. Normal processing of special requests is two business days.

Alaska and International Verifications

Students needing verification for the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend must submit their PFD form and a Records Release Request form directly to the Registrar's Office for processing.

International students who are required to provide enrollment verification for scholarships, taxes, etc. must submit their form and a Records Release Request form directly to the Registrar's Office for processing.

Normal processing of all forms is two business days.

Degree Verification

Agencies or employers requesting verification of a student's degree or enrollment should request this information directly through the National Student Clearinghouse DegreeVerify service.

University of Idaho Registrar's Office does not monitor a student's anticipated graduation date nor require students to graduate within a specific time, therefore an anticipated graduation date cannot be independently verified.

Students who need verification of an earned degree should request a copy of their transcript.
